Glossary of Line Dance Terms
AB (Absolute Beginner)
The very first level for new dancers. Simple steps, short sequences, and slow music.
Beginner
A level above AB. You may experience more turns, additional steps and more restarts/tags.
Improver
A level above beginner. You'll start to experience more 48 and 64 count dances, additional turns, more tags, restarts and bridges quite often.
Intermediate
A level above improver. Dances will often be larger, more complex and have more intricate choreography.
Advanced
Challenging choreography, syncopation, fast-paced music, and complex sequences. Suitable for experienced dancers only.
